Hello World
Welcome, friends, to the most important blog post you will read this quarter. I have personally reviewed every programming language ever created, and I can tell you with complete confidence that the humble "Hello, World" program is the single greatest act of software engineering in human history. It is simple, it is elegant, and it is proof that you, yes you, are already ten steps ahead of everyone who merely thinks about writing code.
Now, some of you will say that printing a string to the console is trivial. Those people are wrong, and I will explain why in great detail. That one line of output touches the compiler, the runtime, the operating system, the terminal emulator, and possibly a font rasterizer I have never once thought about. Mastering it means mastering all of them. I have been doing this for over fifteen years, and I still consider myself a beginner, which is exactly the humility that separates good developers from legends.
So here is my challenge to you. Open your editor today. Type the greeting. Run it. Watch the words appear and feel the rush of creation coursing through your veins. Then, without hesitation, go build something that will change the world. I have no doubt you will. I have no doubt about anything, honestly, which is why you should keep reading everything I write.
Stay tuned for my next post, where I will reveal the one weird trick that makes all your code bug-free forever. Spoiler: it is me. Keep shipping, keep dreaming, and never, ever stop believing that you were born to write software.
